ICON - MODERN DENTISTRY WITHOUT DRILLING AND PAIN

We offer a new way of treatment of  early cavities- infiltration or microabrasion. Infiltration is a compromise between fluoride therapy and drilling. In the case of an early cavity it can be too late for fluoride, while drilling and filling causes loss of healthy tissue. ICON makes an acid proof layer, protecting  broken enamel against it.  ICON is a new way your dentist can stop the progression of an early cavity before it needs to be drilled. It also eliminates discolorations, caused, for example, by orthodontic splints. This breakthrough treatment preserves healthy tooth structure, prolonging the life expectancy of natural teeth.  It is completed in just one visit; and it is completely painless.

MICROABRASION  FOLLOWED BY  BLEECHING , AS A TECHNIC FOR TREATING DISCOLORATION OR SUPERFICIAL ALTERATION OF THE ENAMEL

Many factors can cause superficial alterations, such as imperfect enamel formation, or the removal of an orthodontic appliance in adolescent patients with poor dental hygiene during its use. For a long time, the clinical treatment consisted of its removal and restoration of the obtained cavities using composite resin or porcelain veneers.

The removal of enamel stains through application of the microabrasion technique, followed by  the use of dental bleaching ,gives satisfactory aesthetic results,  providing  the aesthetic recovery of our patient’s smile.

This is the short description, how we do it:
- The enamel microabrasion procedures are performed after enamel macroabrasion of the affected enamel surfaces using diamond bur ( if needed)
- With deeper stains, which may not be removed by the enamel microabrasion technique, the tooth should be restored with composite resin in the same session
- Next step-  polishing with fluoridated paste and application of sodium fluoride gel
- One month after the enamel microabrasion procedures, we recommend a dental bleaching
